As part of Brighton’s Modular Meet 2019 #ladiesofmodular will be dedicating a day to exploring women and non-binary access to music technology. The Friday #ladiesofmodular on 19th July event takes its hashtag from the digital world where women celebrate their adventures in synthesizer playing, building, and enthusing. We’re also addressing academic concerns, particularly the current lack of women on music technology degree programmes. Our event is aided by Yorkshire Women in Sound and is co-funded by the CHASE Feminist network.
We are delighted to welcome:
artist and noise maker, Loula Yorke (https://loulayorke.com/)
Dove Audio Director, Paula Maddox (http://dove-audio.com/)
Sussex PhD student and Heya project leader, Jilliene Sellner (https://heyasounds.wordpress.com/)
and Alissa Derubeis (https://www.alisssa.com/)
